A relaxed farm wedding in the Ribble Valley – Wedding Photography in Lancashire.
Such a treat to be asked to photograph such a beautiful farm wedding. When Becky and Rob first contacted me about their weddings I was so excited to be a part of their day. After meeting them in person in the beautiful surroundings – I really couldn’t wait!
After meeting at a house party in 2012, Becky and Rob soon realised they were made for each other. When the question was popped and wedding plans begun, there was only one place in the world that Becky wanted to hold her wedding. A place very close to her heart, that she’d been spending every summer since a child – her Godfather’s farm in the beautiful Ribble Valley. It’s not surprising when you see it – surrounded by the fells and hills, it’s just an idyllic place. The field was literally transformed into the perfect wedding venue for this lovely couple. The marquee looked amazing, the sun (eventually) came out, the guests all had a wonderful day.
I spent the morning at the farmhouse with the girls for prep. Becky looked amazing in her Astral Sundholm dress and floral headpiece and the bridesmaids were rocking pale blue lace dresses from (you’ll never guess where) Dorothy Perkins. The flowers by Helen at Flowers from the Heart were the perfect finishing touch. Family friend Helen had also done an amazing job of all the buttonholes and table centre pieces.
A ceremony in the village church followed. A confetti tunnel of amazingness and then Becky and Rob drove themselves back to the farm in a lovely little red number. An indulgence for Rob. We whisked the bride and groom away for a few portraits throughout the day. After a delish meal provided by Twelve Management, the band kicked off and had everyone on their feet – check them out, the Hipsters. A lovely bunch of lads who took it very well when I thought they were joking about their name and mocked them a little bit (sorry!).
Becky and Rob – congratulations of putting together this absolutely BEAUTIFUL day. Special mentions to Godfather Tony for giving up his field and his house for the wedding party. hair and make up artist Louise Hall, Helen from Flowers from the Heart and Twelve Management. Thanks to Emma B Photography for helping me out on the day.
