It was really very exciting when Laura got in touch with me to talk about her wedding plans. You see, we had already met at her best friends wedding the year before. So I knew it was going to be a day full of familiar faces, laughter and lots of fun. They’d chosen not one but two great venues for their wedding day and worked very hard at making it their own. Firstly I joined Laura and bridesmaids at the Villa at Wrea Green in Preston, Lancashire for bride prep. Whilst my second photographer Kathryn met up with the boys. The ceremony took place at the Villa before the couple spent some time with me in the beautiful grounds having some pictures taken.
After that we headed off to nearby Singleton Village Hall for the reception. Laura and Rick had completely transformed the village hall with their choice of decor – lots of rustic inspiration and handmade touches, candles, foliage and fairy lights. I love working with couples who put fun ahead of tradition – and Laura and Rick were definitely such a couple. After spending some time chatting to their guests we headed off to the playground and had a turn on the swings! After the speeches we left the couple and their guests to enjoy their evening together.
Big thanks to Laura and Rick for choosing me to capture their big day. It was so so so lovely to see you all again. Thank you to Kathryn from Delicious Photography for assisting me on the day. Here’s a selection of my favourite images from the day.
