A Spring Wedding at The Ashes Wedding Venue
Emma and Martin chose the gorgeous Ashes Wedding Barn for their big day. A barn venue had always been top of their list for their wedding venue and they fell in love with The Ashes due to its natural surroundings and the fact that it looks picture perfect without the need for excessive decorations. There was so much lovely wedding DIY going on. The couple had tried to make as much of the wedding decor as possible including confetti cones, signs and the decorations. Emma’s mum also got involved in the act and made the most beautiful cake!
I joined Emma and her bridesmaids for prep in the morning. The Ashes has a perfect little cottage on site for bridal preparations with purpose made area for hair and make up. Meanwhile Martin was with his groomsmen in the cottage on the other side of the venue.
It was soon time for the ceremony to begin and it was just a quick walk from the bridal prep cottages to the lovely barn ceremony room. Emma and Martin were joined by their closest friends and family. After the ceremony the guest steamed out into the gorgeous courtyard to enjoy the spring sunshine. Emma and Martin had created a ‘pimp your prosecco’ station which guests certainly made the most of!
Thank you to Emma and Martin for choosing me to capture your big day. It was a gorgeous wedding to be a part of and here’s a few of my favourites from your day.
