The Swan Inn at Newby Bridge Wedding

I’m so excited to share this absolutely BEAUTIFUL Lake District wedding with you on the blog. It’s super stylish, colourful and fun. The Swan at Newby Bridge is a really unique Lake District wedding venue and worth a look if you’re planning a wedding in this part of the world.

Laura and Simon chose the gorgeous Swan Inn at Newby Bridge for their wedding day. It’s an amazing wedding venue if you’re looking for something that little bit different. Every single room is beautifully decorated and light. Even the blooming hallway outside the honeymoon suite was so beautiful we had to do some portraits in it.

I joined the girls in the morning in the amazing honeymoon suite for the final bits of bridal prep. We had a good ooooh-ahhhh at Laura’s gorgeous bouquet, shoes and dress before we headed down to the ceremony room for the most important part of the day. Simon was getting a little nervous waiting for Laura to arrive but as soon as she made an appearance it was smiles and laughter all round.

The Lake District weather was kind to us so the guests were able to enjoy the beautiful lakeside lawn area during the drinks reception whilst we pinched Laura and Simon away for some pictures. Cocktails and canapés and feeding the swans was on the cards for an hour whilst the newlyweds had a chance to chat with their guests.

After the guests had enjoyed their meal they were treated to something a bit special – a sunset cruise on the Lake. It was an absolutely perfect addition to the day and we enjoyed it just as much as the couple.
