A Vintage Inspired Wedding at Stirk House

Fans of vintage wedding styling, pastel colouring and lovely Lancashire scenery – you must check out this wedding. Becki and Nick’s wedding is the perfect example of what can be achieved even on a tight budget. The couple and their families travelled from Blackpool to the glorious Ribble Valley surroundings of the Stirk House Hotel. Choosing a mid-week date meant the couple had the wedding they dreamt of without the massive price tag. Becki had done an amazing job of decorating the venue in their Alice in Wonderland theme – sourcing pretty much everything herself. Lots of lovely handmade touches set everything off perfectly. I also completely loved the pastel themed colour scheme. Becki’s six bridesmaids looked amazingly coordinated in their mismatched pastel dresses.

I spent a couple of hours with the girls as they were getting ready and it was obvious it was going to be a very emotional day! Nick and his best men waited nervously downstairs for the moment of Becki’s arrival.

The ceremony took place at Stirk House Hotel, in the lovely light gallery room which is just perfect for civil ceremonies. After the ceremony we headed outside to the beautiful grounds for confetti shots and group photos. Then I whisked the bride and groom away for a little time alone for their images. I love this part of the day – the first time that the newlyweds have a moment alone after the ceremony. We wandered through the grounds of Stirk House for a little while before Becki and Nick returned to their guests.

Massive congratulations to Nick and Becki and their friends and family who had a wonderful day. It was a pleasure to work at Stirk House again and thanks to Lauren Jo Kelly photography who assisted me on the day.
