I loved this wedding. Just so much. I always get a bit excited when I get a wedding photography enquiry for Sparth House in Accrington- scene of my own very happy wedding day. So when Sarah and Jon got in touch to tell me about their plans for a fun and relaxed wedding with a bit of a Mad Hatters theme thrown in I was so game. So many lovely details at this wedding to inspire you – I loved the muted purple and blue colour scheme, the mismatched bridesmaid dresses, Sarah’s gorgeous dress and gold glitter shoes, the table settings and vintage tea party decorations. Love, love, lovity love.
I joined the girls for prep at Sarah’s mum’s house. This is always such an enjoyable part of the day – the emotions and the anticipation, the bride surrounded by her favourite people. There were lots of lovely details for me to cover. Sarah’s clever mum had made the gorgeous bouquets by hand as well as growing the plants for the table settings at the reception.
After a beautiful ceremony, we headed out of church to a little surprise – Sarah and Jon’s dog Milo had popped along to wish his humans congratulations.
Back at Sparth House the Mad Hatters theme came to life with an great group shot of all the guests who had thoroughly got into the swing of things by donning an array of fine headgear – the viking helmet being my personal favourite.
We whisked Jon and Sarah away for a little while to get some images of just the two of them – an easy job when you have a couple like this. Fun, food and dancing followed and let me tell you – these people knew how to do the Macarena.
Here are my favourite images from the day. Thank you Sarah and Jon for choosing me as your wedding photographer.
