Meg and Nick are getting married at Hyde Bank Farm in May and I am ridiculously excited about that – what a fab venue and what an amazing couple to spend the day with. When Nick and Meg first got in touch with me about their plans I could tell they were a couple who knew what they were looking for from their photographer. Good documentary coverage of the day was important but they also wanted some cracking portraits of the two of them. And why not indeed! Meg has lost an incredible 5 stone for the wedding – honestly this woman is such an inspiration.
The couple decided to book an engagement shoot before their wedding day to get used to being in front of the camera and to treat themselves to some new beautiful images of the two of them.
I really love engagements shoots – they are a great way for me to get to know a couple a little better and to help them feel more relaxed in front of the camera for their wedding. I had absolutely no problem with Meg and Nick – they were so relaxed in front of the camera from the start. Complete naturals. I know we’re going to have a great day on their wedding.
Avenham Park was our location of choice for the engagement shoot. It’s a great spot, close to Preston city centre and there’s so many lovely little spots to choose from.
Here are a few of my favourite images from their engagement shoot…..
Update: Meg and Nick have now had their wedding day at Hyde Bank Farm and as anticipated it was flipping beautiful. We had a fabulous day with this pair – lots of rustic styling, fun and laughter. And of course some beautiful portraits too. Pop on over to the weddings blog to see it now.
