This beautiful wedding at Owen House Barn in Cheshire was one of the most loved filled and emotional wedding I’ve photographed in quite some time. There was hardly a dry eye in the room during the ceremony or when Vicky and Rachel gave their speeches. In fact – it was emotional from the moment we arrived until we left! I absolutely loved spending their day with them and I’m so pleased to be able to share a few of my favourite images with you here now.
Rachel and Vicky wanted a very relaxed day – and definitely not in your standard hotel setting. Something fun, quirky and that little bit different. Owen House Wedding Barn ticked all the boxes. It’s an awesome and unique wedding venue in the Cheshire countryside and a real treat to photograph a wedding at. The staff are fantastic and Vicky and Rachel assembled a crack wedding team to bring their plans to life.
The morning of the wedding dawned sunny and bright and I joined Vicky at the Barn’s bridal prep room where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids. I’m sure she won’t mind me saying – but she was definitely feeling the nerves! Meanwhile my second shooter Kat, headed to bride Rachel at the couple’s home to join her bridal squad for prep. There were surprises all round – Rachel had sent over a bottle of tequila for Vicky and her bridesmaids, whilst Vicky had arranged a surprise car to pick up Rachel and bring her to Owen House Wedding Barn.
The couple had chosen a very pretty and relaxed theme for their decor – tables were named after places the couple had visited in San Francisco, where the couple had got engaged. Table settings included small prints of a painting by Vicky’ Nanna Brown, candles and flowers. It came together perfectly. Pictures of Vicky’s Grandparent’s also took pride of place on the family table.
The ceremony took place in the wedding barn – Vicky and Rachel said their vows surrounded by friends and family. Again, the emotions were getting the better of most of the wedding party as they made their way down the aisle. After the ceremony, the couple headed out into the sun to spend some time chatting to their guests and enjoying a drink or two.
We soon made the most of the many quirky little spots around Owen House Wedding Barn for the couple’s portraits. These two were so relaxed with each other it made my job very easy!
Huge congratulations to Rachel and Vicky – you are made for each other and it was super lovely and emotional to be a part of your big day. Here’s a small selection of some of my favourites from the big day. Big thank you to the staff at Owen House Wedding Barn for looking after us so well and to my ever lovely second shooter Kat from Delicious Photography for assisting me on the day.
