Matt and Katie first got in touch with to chat about their plans for a winter wedding. They knew a winter wedding meant photography could be trickier so they’d spent some time researching and happily that research led to me! The wedding took place in Shropshire at the beautiful Mytton and Mermaid Inn. Having decided that they wanted an informal and relaxed wedding day – this place was perfect for Matt and Katie. Right by the river with lots of spots for photographers and a gorgeous covered court yard where all the guests could mingle and chat.
The day started for me at Holy Trinity Church in Meols Brace – possibly the loveliest church I’ve ever visited. Down a country lane and set within it’s own beautiful gardens. Plus we were treated to tea and biscuits when we arrived! Matt arrived with his groomsmen – all looking dapper in blue suits and soon Katie and her bridesmaids arrived. Check out the gold dress/winter bouquet combo – perfect winter wedding styling.
After the ceremony we headed to the Mytton and Mermaid where I was able to pinch Matt and Katie away for pictures by the river as the sun was setting. Doesn’t get much better than that! After the meal and speeches the guests danced the night away to the music of The House of Chords.
Thank you Matt and Katie for putting so much effort into finding your wedding photographer – I’m so pleased it led you to me and I was able to be a part of your day. Here are some of my favourite images from your wedding.
Venue: Mytton and Mermaid
Band: The House of Chords
Thanks to Tash from Love Luella Photography for assisting me on the day.
