Paul & Luke’s Altrincham Wedding
Fessing up. I’m a tiny bit in love with these two. From the time we first met in person I knew that their wedding day was going to be something a bit special and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I’m a big fan of non-traditional weddings and Paul and Luke had arranged their day to minimise the formalities and maximise the time spent with their friends and family. I headed to their lovely home in Altrincham where the couple were getting ready together. It was a lovely calm morning kicked off with a cup of tea and a bit of chats before it was time for the boys to don their suits.
I LOVED their pink suits which had been customised by a local tailor to make them a little more formal and even more dashing. Once Luke and Paul were dressed it was time for a relaxed walk into the town centre. We went though a local park on route which meant we had all their portraits done and dusted before we arrived at Altrincham town hall where the wedding ceremony was taking place. A short, sweet and very emotional wedding ceremony took place with Luke and Paul surrounded by their nearest and dearest before all the guests headed over the road to Altrincham Market and the Old Conservative Club where the party was taking place. Luke and Paul have really made this area their home so choosing a venue that they visit often made their wedding day extra special and I’m sure they’ll spend many more evenings there reminiscing their day. They’d also chosen lots of local suppliers to join their wedding team – us little businesses absolutely love that kind of support!
As Paul and Luke were having a small wedding their guests headed down to the restaurant for their wedding breakfast. It was something special to see them being clapped and congratulated not just by their guests but by all the other folk in the restaurant too.
As we headed into the evening and the party started, I’d already been pre-warned that the family loved a good dance and they certainly didn’t disappoint! For such a small wedding group the dance floor was bouncing and they were the nicest bunch you would have wanted to meet. I don’t think I went 5 minutes without someone checking to see if I needed a drink.
Paul and Luke – a HUGE congratulations for your wedding day and an even bigger thank you for inviting me to capture it. You two are so obviously made for one another and there was so much love and support in the room that my job that day was even more of a pleasure than usual. Here’s just a few of my faves from your day. It was a chore to narrow it down!
