This was a good day. This was a great day to be a wedding photographer. Beautiful Lake District scenery, check, gorgeous happy couple, check, details, flowers, vintage styling, check, check and check. Stacy and David chose the beautiful Inn on the Lake on the shores of Lake Ullswater for the setting of their wedding.
I first met Stacy and David at their home, the year before the wedding, when they are trying to choose their wedding photographer. Now I don't mind a bit of healthy competition and I appreciate a couple who place a lot of importance on their wedding photography. I was thrilled when David and Stacy got back in touch to say they would like me to be their wedding photographer.
Driving up to the hotel on the morning of the wedding, it was impossible not to get excited about the images we were going to get. Set in the grounds of the hotel, and overlooking the lake and the mountains, was the gazebo where the couple would tie the knot. There were beautiful gardens, jetties on to the lake, little hidden areas of interest. What an absolute treat.
Stacy was very much a bride who knew what she wanted and also a very talented crafter with her own small business. So it was no surprise that the wedding venue was beautiful dressed with a mixture of hand made items and vintage finds.
It was really tough choosing my favourite images from the day so here are, well, quite a lot of them.
