Hipping hall hotel wedding pictures - lake district
It all started when...
This was always going to be an extra special wedding for me. It was my 100th wedding. A big milestone. But as soon as I met with Laura and Pete I knew I would enjoy it even more. This lovely, relaxed couple tried to convince me that they were having a very non-wedding wedding. They'd chosen Hipping Hall because it was sweet and intimate and served delicious food and they knew their small group of wedding guests would be well looked after. They were absolutely correct!
Hipping Hall is a gorgeous hotel just outside Kirby Lonsdale - better known for it's food than as a wedding venue, it's the perfect Lake Disctrict wedding venue for small and intimate weddings. Food lovers would not be disappointed. As a wedding photographer I certainly wasn't disappointed either. Inside and out, the hotel is a beautiful place to spend a wedding day. Beautiful rooms for getting read, great spaces for your drinks reception and meals and the most beautiful grounds surrounding the venue - which were just the perfect mixture between formal and wild.
I joined Laura for bride prep in the morning in the beautiful bridal suite. Her gorgeous dress was hung from the beams, looking all sparkly and lovely. The couple had chosen flowers from the Great British Florist, a company I'm a big fan of and the flowers were bold and colourful and perfect.
After a short but very sweet ceremony the guests headed out into the garden for cocktails and canapes whilst I whisked Pete and Laura off for a little explore of the grounds. Then we were all treated to the most beautiful wedding breaking (Hipping Hall seriously knows how to do food) before we were treated to an amazing sunset.
It really was one of those perfect wedding days - where everything seems to go to plan, everyone is beaming and happy and love is definitely in the air! Pete and Laura (I want to keep you!) organised a wedding which was just the best combination of fun, family, food and celebration. The weddingy details they chose were gorgeous and fitted just right with the relaxed venue. Laura looked sensational in her dress and even though Pete took much ribbing for his choice of not wearing a tie I think he looked pretty dapper! But above all they were just bloody lovely people to spend the day with.
Here's a selection of some of my favourite images from the day - huge thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer!
