What do you do when your family own a beautiful woodland in the Lancashire countryside? Hold your wedding there of course. When Jen and Mark first got in touch with me to chat about their wedding photography. A relaxed marquee woodland wedding – what a flipping dream.
Jen and Mark met in Edinburgh, Jen was supposed to be setting Mark up with a workfriend but Mark knew there was only phone number he wanted! Mark proposed to Jen at the Wainright Viewpoint behind Jen’s family home (on two knees, not one – meaning he was doubly serious!) and making the setting for the wedding even more special.
Sometimes things don’t always go to plan and one of the things couples worry most about on their wedding day is rain. Well on Jen and Mark’s wedding day. It rained. And rained. And then rain just that bit more. Plans for lawn games and scampering around the woodland completely ruined. Some couples would let this ruin their day – but not Jen and Mark. During a brief break in the clouds Jen hitched up her dress, trekked up the lane and we made the most of the last of the light.
The day was filled with laughter, smiles and beautiful speeches. Nothing could dampen the spirits of this wedding party. Big thank you to Mark and Jen for choosing me as their wedding photographer.
