An intimate christmas wedding in haworth
It all started when...
A visit to the beautiful town of Haworth was on the cards for me in December. I don't often venture over the border to Yorkshire to photograph weddings so it made for a nice jaunt out for myself and assistant Jodie. Made all the more enjoyable of course because we were off to photograph the wedding of Christina and Brandon. It was an usual day for me because I normally have the chance to meet with my couples before their wedding day and get to know them a little. Not the case here because this lovely pair came all the way from California for their wedding! I needn't have worried though - we hit it off straight away.
An intimate wedding of just 10 people, a pretty little Yorkshire church, a bride rocking a gold sequin dress. It had all the makings of a very fun afternoon. After a moving ceremony I whisked Christina and Brandon away for some shots around the town of Haworth. The light was failing, the weather was foggy, the streets fairly deserted - there was a very gothic feeling to it all! Christina and Brandon had fallen in love with Haworth after visiting it a few years before so it was lovely to be back there with them on their big day.
I'm very lucky in this job to meet such a variety of people and this wedding was no different. Despite it being a tiny wedding - their friends and family made us so welcome and part of the day. Christina and Brandon were the nicest people to spend a cold afternoon with in graveyards! We had such fun.
Best wishes to the newlyweds on their future adventure.
