Wedding Photography at The Hall at Marthall, Cheshire
You are going to love this wedding. I’m forever saying “If I was going to get married again, this is how I’d do it” but that definitely applies to this gorgeous Cheshire Wedding. Clare and Andrew put together this beautiful, relaxed day, full of detail and colour and handmade goodies.
Here’s their story…….
Clare and Andrew first met on the good old internet and romance well and truly blossomed when they met in person. I’m not surprised. Spend any time with these two and it’s obvious that they’re made for one another. After spending time travelling to be with each other, they finally set up home together up North and Andrew popped the question just before Christmas with a cheesy grin and beautiful ring and the rest, as they say, is history.
When it came to choosing a venue, Andrew and Clare wanted a countryside setting and Marthall Hall, with it’s beautiful surroundings was just perfect. The Hall is light, bright and a perfect blank canvas for this creative couple to add their own personal style. Friends and family pulled together to help Clare and Andrew achieve their vision. This wedding really was a team effort. Credits go to Clare’s Dad for the amazing flower wall and custom post box, her sister and neices for helping to create the bouquets and floral decorations at the church and venue, Clare’s brother in law for cutting and preparing the log pieces for the tables and Andrew’s Mum for making that amazing naked wedding cake (three glorious tiers of victoria sponge, lemon drizzle and chocolate just in case you were wondering). The gorgeous Dove cake toppers had been on Clare’s grandparents wedding cake. I love that!
It didn’t end there, the couple’s friend Rebecca created the fabulous wedding stationary. Probably one of my favourite details of the day – each table was named after a grandparent with a little bio of each. I admit to spending more time than usual at each table as I read about the lives of Ethel and Paddy. (I may also have cried). And let’s not forget Clare’s brother who made all the delicious nibbles and evening buffet. And of course, all the guests who contributed to the dessert table – I sampled some (lots) of your offerings and you should all be very proud of your cooking skills!
In between the crying and the eating of cakes I also found time to take the bride and groom off for some pictures. I’m so please Andrew and Clare found a hidden gem just around the corner from the venue – a field full of tractors, grotty machinary and walls with beautiful peeling paintwork. Heaven!
Massive congratulations to this lovely couple and a huge thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with you and your lovely family and friends. I’m absolutely smitten with you all.
Here’s my favourite images from your day. Enjoy!
