Fishermans Retreat Wedding Photography

It’s been quite a while since I was at the Fisherman’s Retreat in Lancashire for a wedding so I was super pleased when Andy and Michelle got in touch with me to talk about their wedding plans. They had chosen the Fisherman’s Retreat for it’s beautiful green surroundings and it is a bit of a hidden gem. Tucked away down a country lane in Rossendale, it feels as though you are in the middle of nowhere. It was the perfect setting for Michelle and Andy’s relaxed and rustic themed wedding day.

Relaxed Wedding

The ceremony was very moving – watching Andy getting emotional as his bride to be walked up the aisle was wonderful. The couple beamed and laughed their way through their wedding vows, with their daughter Scarlett looking on. After the ceremony the guests enjoyed their drinks in the sun (and it was hot!) as we pinched Andy and Michelle away for some pictures. There are lots of little spots to choose from all around the venue. It was a gloriously hot day and the guests made the most of it in the grounds of the venue. Michelle and Andy had provided lawn games, hula hoops and fairground games for the guests to enjoy.

In the evening we were treated to the most beautiful sunset which we took full advantage of before the newlyweds headed back to their guests to dance the night away.

Thank you Michelle and Andy for asking me to be your wedding photographer. I absolutely loved spending the day with you. Here are some of my favourite images from your day.

Big thanks to the staff at The Fisherman’s Retreat for looking after us and Clare from Clare Robinson Photography for being my second photographer on the day.
