A Festival Themed Tipi Wedding in Yorkshire
This was my very first Tipi wedding and I’m so happy to be able to share it with you now. Becki and Nathan’s wedding was an absolute dream to photograph. Sadly the weather wasn’t on it’s best behaviour but that didn’t stop this lovely pair and their friends and family enjoying their day to the full.
The couple chose to hold their wedding day on their family farm and make it as personal as possible. And they certainly did not disappoint. Becki’s attention to detail throughout the whole day was faultless. From the wedding stationary to the decorations throughout the tipi, everything was beautifully done. Growing up and now both working on the farm, the setting was very important for the couple. And their relaxed and informal wedding day was a true reflection of both of them and their family – especially star of the day, their beautiful daughter Eliza.
I joined Becki at their home for bridal prep in the morning before we headed over to the family church – the smallest and sweetest church I’ve ever been to. A hop, skip and a jump away the Tipi was all set up for the guests to arrive. Handmade touches, homemade cake, VW camper van bars and a indoor fire pit to roast marshmallows – this wedding reception had it all!
We were very lucky that the rain stopped throughout the day and we only had to take a few steps outside of the tipi to take advantage of the beautiful Yorkshire backdrop for portraits.
As the sun set, the couple alongside their friends and family really got into the party mood and danced the night away.
Huge congratulations to Becki and Nathan – your day was a triumph! Thank you so much for inviting me along to capture it.
