Wedding Photography at Houldsworth House, Halifax.
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be booked at the last minute by Simon and Gabriela to photograph their intimate weddng at Houldsworth House in Halifax. And when I say intimate – I mean there was 10 guests – so yes, very intimate. I normally like to get to know my couples a little before the big day, so taking a booking a week before the wedding, with no opportunity to meet is a risky decision for both parties. In this case I absolutely lucked out because this is just the sweetest couple you could ever wish to work with. Simon and Gabriela met through work and it wasn’t long before Simon convinced Gabriela to pack her bags and move up North to set up home together. The couple are expecting their first child in November so whilst they are planning a big wedding next year, they decided to tie the knot before baby arrives.
With such a tiny number of guests, the couple were able to be married in the recently renovated gazebo at Houldsworth House. It was certainly cosy but such a beautiful location for an intimate wedding. Drinks, rice throwing and canapes in the beautiful grounds followed whilst I whisked the couple off for their portraits. Houldsworth House, is a gorgeous country house wedding venue with oozles of places for portraits so we took advantage of the beautiful weather and tried them all out! Gabriela looked absolutely stunning in her gown which showed off her beautiful bump to perfection and these two were just so relaxed in front of the camera. It was tough to narrow down my favourite images from the day but here they are.
Bestest of best wishes to Simon and Gabriela as they embark on a new and very exciting chapter of their lives.
