A Marquee Wedding at Fixby Hall – Yorkshire Wedding Photographer

This beautiful Yorkshire marquee wedding was an absolute pleasure to be a part of. Kathryn and Dean are the loveliest couple and Kathryn’s laughter is completely infectious. We were in fits of giggles within minutes of me arriving. I knew it was going to be a fantastic day. Kathryn and Dean had chosen to get married in their local family church and then head to Fixby Hall for the party party party.

A marquee wedding was always top of the wish list – Kathryn being a huge fan of the film ‘Father of the Bride’ and Dean loved the idea that you can personalise everything. As soon as they visited Fixby, saw the beautiful setting and met with the staff, they knew it was the place for them.

On the morning of the wedding I headed to Kathryn’s parents house where she was getting ready with her whole troop of bridesmaids. Dean was with his groomsmen and my second photographer Anna headed over there. It was full steam ahead on the wedding prep with hair and make up being done upstairs and down – poor Kathryn’s Dad couldn’t even find a quiet moment to get ready. Before long it was time to head off to church where Dean was waiting – a little bit anxiously it has to be said!

Kathryn and Dean definitely wanted a wedding day of two parts – the ceremony and the PARTY! After the ceremony and a cracking bit of confetti outside of church it was time for the guests to jump on the wedding bus and be taken to Fixby Hall for the party to begin. Happily we had the most beautiful weather so guests could enjoy fizz and chat in the sunshine whilst the very talented Athena String Quartet played in the background.

Massive congratulations to Kathryn and Dean – you’re perfect and we loved spending the day with you both. Here’s a selection of some of my favourite images from the day.
