Slaidburn Village Hall Wedding – Lancashire Wedding Photographer
Village Hall weddings are my absolutely fave!!! So I was really pleased when Simon and Amy got in touch to discuss their wedding photography. They’d chosen the beautiful village of Slaidburn in the Ribble Valley for their wedding reception. As soon as the couple visited the Village Hall on the banks of the river they knew it was the venue for them. They had a really clear idea of what they wanted their wedding reception to look like so holding it at Slaidburn Village Hall gave them the opportunity to decorate the venue just as they wanted. Decorating the venue was a family affair with Ginger the VW Camper van taking pride of place outside of the Village Hall. The couple chose a very natural theme for the decor – the village hall was full of greenery, hessian and wood. Amy carried the most beautiful bouquet made by Helen at Flowers from the Heart in Slaidburn.
I joined Amy at the most beautiful lakeside cottage where she was getting ready before the ceremony. And instantly fell in love with her family – what a lovely bunch! They made me feel so welcome. I knew immediately we were going to have the best day. Plus there was a dog in a necklace – what more could you ask for! The couple tied the knot at the village hall surrounded by their family and friends before we all headed out into the glorious sunshine for the drinks reception. Ginger the VW Camper had been set up as an outdoor bar.
Big thanks to Simon and Amy for asking me to be a part of your big day – it was a gorgeous wedding to be a part of. Thank you to Charli from Photography by Charli for being my second photographer on the day.

When you look through this beautiful wedding it becomes obvious why I’m such a huge huge fan or village hall weddings and Slaidburn village hall is up there with my favourites. I love that the space is very light and modern which can often be hard to find in village halls. It’s surrounded by the beautiful Ribble Valley countryside and you’re just a few steps away from the river which makes for beautiful pictures! There’s tonnes of incredible local suppliers on your doorstep meaning you can support the local economy too and there’s plenty of holiday cottages, pubs and even a Youth Hostel near by for your guests to stay in. If you’re planning your wedding at Slaidburn Village Hall or indeed any village hall then I’d love to chat to you about your plans.
