Laura and Simon’s Lake District wedding is coming up very soon – they’ve chosen the beautiful Swan Inn in Newby Bridge for their big day. Like many couples that I work with they were a little worried about being in front of the camera – let’s face it, most of us aren’t natural posers! So in the run up to their wedding day, the couple decided to invest in a pre-wed shoot to help calm the nerves. Most of my engagement and pre-wedding photo shoots take place a little closer to home so it made a nice change to head out to the Lake District, where Simon and Laura live.
The couple chose the gorgeous little seaside village of Arnside in the South Lakes for their pre-wedding shoot. When we arrived for the shoot, the sun was still beaming and the lighting was beautiful. It’s the type of light that makes me start making weird noises of delight. If you’re a photographer – you’ll understand!
We had a little wander up along the sands, chatted about wedding plans, stopped for pictures here and there and generally had a lovely hour talking about how much fun we’re going to have on their wedding day!
I’m really looking forward to being Laura and Simon’s wedding photographer in just a few week’s time. Pop back to the blog to see their wedding in full. But here is a selection of my favourite images from their engagement shoot.
Big thank you to my assistant Jodie Lee for coming along and getting some beautiful shots.
