Debbie and Norbert flew across the world to spend the day with their friends and family at the beautiful Lancashire wedding venue, Eaves Hall and I was lucky enough to be asked to cover their big day. Norbert and Debbie met in Mauritius and that is where they have made their home. But it was to the UK that the couple returned to celebrate their big day. No beach wedding for these two – they chose a winter wedding in the beautiful surroundings of Eaves Hall. Norbert’s family and friends flew in from Mauritius to be with the couple on their big day.
Norbert is a musician so the day was always going to have a very lively and musical feel. Throughout the reception the piano, drums and guitar were put to full use by Norbert, his best men and other wedding guests too – the DJ had more than a little competition for the evening entertainment!
It was such a pleasure to be a part of this day and see two families and two cultures come together. The little nods to Mauritius, the couples home, were found throughout the wedding – including the rather unusual Dodo cake topper.
Debbie and Norbert – thank you for putting your trust in me and booking me from the other side of the world. It was absolutely wonderful to document your day and your love for one another.
Here are a few of my favourite images from the day….
Big thanks to Kathryn from Delicious Photography for assisting me on this wedding.
