A stylish wedding at the great hall at mains - lancashire wedding photography
It all started when...
Lucy and Tom's wedding day at the Great Hall at Mains is an absolute treat to behold! It was my first time photographing a wedding at this beautiful Lancashire wedding venue and it was not hard to see why the couple had chosen it for their wedding reception. Surrounded by gorgeous grounds and full of period features - The Great Hall at Mains has no end of choices for photographs on your big day.
The morning started out at Lucy's family home, where, surrounded by her mum and dad and bridesmaids, Lucy was getting a little bit emotional as I walked in. This is why I love covering bride prep - the emotions and excitement are high! I was able to spend a couple of hours with the girls whilst they were getting ready, as well as having a few cheeky cuddle with Ralph the Best Dog (official title!).
The journey to the church couldn't have been easier - a quick walk up the road to the family church, where Tom was waiting nervously for his bride to be to arrive!
After the ceremony the couple drove themselves to the Great Hall at Mains whilst the bridal party followed on in a vintage camper van. The weather wasn't well behaved and the guests had to keep dashing in and out of the venue as the heavens opened! Thankfully we did have chance to get some gorgeous images of the newlyweds in the grounds before rain stopped play.
We worked with such a fabulous team of wedding suppliers on this one.
