A Colourful Wellbeing Farm Wedding – Lancashire Wedding Photographer

Want to see a wedding with pink glitter converse, rustic detail heaven, a gorgeous fun loving couple and llamas in bowties? Of course you flipping do! Why wouldn’t you? In fact if you answered no to that question you should probably leave now. I’m not the right wedding photographer for you!

When Bekah and Luke first came to meet me to chat about their wedding plans I knew immediately I wanted to be a part of the day. Not only did their wedding at The Wellbeing Farm sound flipping brilliant, but we just spent the best part of an hour giggling.  Those are the type of couples I love to work with. I just knew that their wedding is going to be amazing. Fast forward a year and the big day arrived. I joined Bekah and her bridesmaids at her family home, whilst my second photographer Kathryn headed over to the boys. I love it when a bride gets ready at home – there was  something slightly surreal but very pleasing about seeing Bekah stood in her old bedroom which looked precisely as it did when she was a teenager, getting ready for her wedding day.

A Rainy Wedding in Lancashire

As the heaven’s opened we headed off to church for the ceremony. Even the rain couldn’t wipe the smile from Bekah’s face. The look on Bekah and Luke’s faces as they saw each other for the first time in church was absolutely priceless – I LOVE capturing moments like this. After the wedding ceremony we headed over to The Wellbeing Farm for the reception. It was my very first time at the venue and I was super excited about it (did I mention they have llamas in actual bowties!). Bekah and Luke chose the venue because it perfectly reflected them as a couple – quirky, fun and relaxed. It was also a perfect fit for the couple’s festival themed, rustic inspired wedding decor. The venue has so many gorgeous details and props it was a hard to see where their decor started and Bekah and Luke’s ended – it all fit together perfectly! Bekah’s mad craft skills can’t be overlooked – invitations, table decorations, stationary and even the cake were all made by her own fair hands!

The Wedding Reception at The Wellbeing Farm

The wedding gods were favouring us and mid-afternoon the rain ended and we were able to take full advantage of the grounds at The Wellbeing Farm – and of course that meant meeting the resident donkeys and llamas! And I don’t get to say that at every wedding. After some super relaxed group shots and confetti, we pinched Bekah and Luke away for their portraits. Total naturals in front of the camera (although they might tell you something different!) we had no problem getting some beautiful images of the two of them.

This fantastic wedding ended, just as all fantastic weddings do, with some full on dance floor action and beautiful sunset! I’m so so so ridiculously lucky to work with couples like Bekah and Luke and I cannot thank them enough for choosing me as their photographer.  Big thanks to the staff at The Wellbeing Farm for looking after us and to my second photographer Kathryn from Delicious Photography for being my right hand woman.

Some lovely words from Bekah and Lucas about their wedding photographer…

“We are overwhelmed by the amazing photographs of our wedding. We cannot believe all the fun, smiles and love you have managed to capture. We’ve just had an amazing evening watching through the slideshow and we have smiled and laughed the whole way through. It’s amazing to see moments we didn’t even know were happening on the day because we were so busy running around chatting to everyone! You were both brilliant on the day, putting us both at ease and making us look good which is certainly no easy feat! We are so grateful to you for capturing the day and the images are something we will truly treasure forever.”

As a Lancashire Wedding Photographer I’m super lucky to visit lots of beautful wedding venues but The Wellbeing Farm certainly sticks out as one of my absolute favourite. A barn or farm wedding is always going to be a little bit alternative and quirky – but The Wellbeing Farm takes this to the next level. I love the fact that it’s a family run venue and the owners put a huge amount of time and effort into every wedding. If you’re looking for a fun, quirky and relaxed wedding venue in Lancashire then you should definitely check out The Wellbeing Farm. If you’ve chosen this as your wedding venue then I’d love to chat to you about your plans.
