Yes this was work – not a bad old life is it! As I head into another busy year of shooting weddings it’s easy to get bogged down in the daily tasks of running a business. It’s important to allow myself some time to get creative just for the fun of it. Last week I organised a styled shoot on the glorious sands of Formby. I got together with a troop of photographers who had attended my Marketing Bootcamp earlier in the year, to do something less geekish and more creative! As well as spending the day with lots of like minded wedding photographers, this shoot also gave me the opportunity to catch up with one of my favourite 2015 couples – Phil and Ashlie.
We wandered around the sand dunes and pine woods for two whole hours – it was a great day and I really enjoyed getting creative with such a fun and relaxed couple. What a treat! Most wedding days I’m lucky to get 15 minutes with my couples in the hustle and bustle of a wedding day. To have two full hours and a willing couple to try new things – what an absolute treat.
Massive thanks to Ashlie and Phil for being such good sports and to all the other photographers who attended. Here’s a few of my favourite images from the day….
